Artificial horizon or reality?
This work is about textures and colour combination. The vermilion and the orange are strongly in opposition, antipode, with the blue turquoise. Chevrel picked these colours to tackle the eyes and give another perception of the horizon.
“Horizon” is a fantasy, a chaotic line between the land and the sky, between the below and the above.
Definitely a parameter out of our reality, a metallic fiction. It could be the horizon of another planet. Your imagination can never belong to any others but sharing it opens minds.
